The philosophy of degrowth teaches many good practices to consume less, to reflect upon actual needs, to produce with respect for the environment and society. But it also teaches to build relationships based on new logics of mutual support and collaboration: for the Conference more than 600 participants will arrive in Venice from all over the world, and we would like that the staying of these people (participants, speakers, volunteers) will be an opportunity to meet -informally and directly- with the residents and the authentic culture of Venice, so different from the commercial and stereotypical image given by big events and organized tourism.

If you live in Venice, Mestre, in the islands, in other places on the Venetian mainland on in surrounding towns we invite you to take this opportunity to meet participants / volunteers / collaborators of the Conference this September, opening doors and offering hospitality in your home to one or more persons. No need for ad hoc rooms, a sofa or a bed is enough! By doing so you will have an opportunity to exchange knowledge, experiences and stimuli. Offering a different way to live and know our city you can also help participants to lower their expenses to stay in Venice.
