With a view to the Third International Conference on Degrowth, Ecological Sustainability and Social Equity (Venice, September 19-23, 2012), we thought of making a participating video. This aims at gathering contributions from all over the world on the various ideas concerning Degrowth and on the expectations towards the Conference.

Anyone can participate by sending us a short video.

A selection of the contributions we will receive will be uploaded on the website www.venezia2012.it and on the Youtube channel http://www.youtube.com/user/decrescitavenezia.

The material you will send us will be used in order to make also a short documentary that we will screen in Venice.

In order to participate, all you have to do is following these simple instructions:

1. Take a video camera, a webcam or a mobile phone and record a short video-interview by answering one or more of the following questions:

• What does Degrowth mean for you and how do you say Degrowth in your language?

• Will you attend the Third International Conference on Degrowth?

• If you intend to participate, where will you leave from and how will you get to Venice?

• Do you have any proposals or initiatives to recommend to us concerning one of the subjects of the Conference (Common Goods, Employment, Democracy)?

• What do you expect from this Conference?

Attention: In order to simplify the editorial work, please answer only in Italian or in English; every answer must not exceed 30 seconds. You can include a greeting in your language at the beginning and at the end of the video. You can also insert images in the video (maximum 2 minutes) in order to visually tell something about you, your job, your place of origin or about the Degrowth practices that concern you more closely.

2. Save the video on a computer (maximum size 2 GB).

3. Connect to this website:https://www.wetransfer.com/ and send your file to this address: videovenezia2012@gmail.com (please send us your contribution no later than July 31, 2012).
